I help Mom finish folding the rest of the laundry with just my arms poking out of my burrito blanket. When we’re done, I lie down on the couch and cover myself with the blanket like a tent so I don’t have to hear the rain anymore. I close my eyes and think about Grandma’s make-believe game. If I could imagine any place I’d rather be, where would I pick?

I don’t think I’d like to go to a tropical island. Too much water. Right now, I am not a fan of water.

Paris is a great idea. I keep my eyes closed and imagine walking to the Eiffel Tower wearing my red beret. I look very French. Suddenly, my imagination takes me somewhere else. I see mountains and trees and a night sky with no clouds.

When I open my eyes, I’m back in our living room under my blanket. But I know exactly where I’d like to be today. And I think I can make that happen.
